At the heart of Dr. Corrett's nutritional system is the principle of separating foods into alkaline and acidic. In order not to go into too much medical details, let us immediately summarize: alkaline is good, acidic is bad.

This has been studied, proven and tested in many clinical studies, which have a common conclusion: the optimal pH balance of the human digestive tract is 7, 4, that is, alkaline. A value of 5, 5 is considered neutral, and anything less is an acidic environment.

“When the body becomes acidic, you feel anxiety, suffer from insomnia, your skin looks gray and dehydrated, becomes covered with wrinkles, acne and pimples often appear. In severe cases, eczema and psoriasis, peeling and unexplained allergic reactions (which are essentially inflammatory processes) occur. Of course, you should consult with a dermatologist, gastroenterologist and endocrinologist to rule out other causes of poor health and excess weight, but if all tests are normal, your diet is very limited, and the problem cannot be solved - listen to me and adjust the acid-base balance of your menu.

I am not suggesting to completely abandon acidic foods, by no means, I am in favor of a balanced diet. My system suggests separating acidic and alkaline foods in a 30 to 70 ratio. This balance must be maintained at every meal, and then your weight will naturally return to normal and your skin will look amazing!

The first and most important thing is to divide the products into these two categories. This is not as easy as it seems: for example, the majority of people perceive lemon as an acidic product, but in fact it is alkaline. To make things easier, I've put together a simple list that you can print or download to your phone so you can always check it out to make sure you're eating right.
