As little babies, Infants Leonor and Sophia aroused public interest and affection when they appeared in public in pretty identical dresses with a small flower. How has the style of young princesses changed in recent years?
In everyday life, girls are most often seen in school uniforms. The princesses attend the Santa Maria de los Rosales school in the suburbs of Madrid, where their father studied. And, like all other students, they meekly wear the uniform of this school, consisting of a gray woolen skirt, a blue cardigan or sweater, a white shirt, black socks and black flat shoes. No branded bags: regular backpacks and canvas school uniform bags.
While the girls were young, they were often dressed in identical dresses. But now it seems that each of them wants less and less to be like her sister. Therefore, princess dresses for formal occasions are usually similar in individual details and overlap in mood, but still they are different.
Despite the fact that each of the girls is already thinking about her own style, sometimes completely identical things still appear in their wardrobes. Like these basic trench coats in beige. True, it is assumed that each of the princesses will wear such clothes in their own way.
Sometimes, however, the girls' outfits are not alike at all. But one rule is always strictly observed: their clothes look modest and laconic. Minimum trimmings, strict silhouettes, moderate length.
Very often, for the dresses of her daughters, Letizia chooses delicate pastel shades that are very suitable for girls and echo the color of the dresses of the queen herself. For dresses in this color scheme, Letizia chooses neutral beige pumps. Leonor and Sophia follow her example, however, in their case, these are modest ballet flats without a heel.
It is not known what plays the main role in choosing outfits for young princesses: royal protocol or the preferences of Letizia herself. But one thing is clear: the Spanish queen prefers to dress her daughters in dresses. Pants or shorts on Leonor or Sophia are not often seen.
