A luxurious Indian wedding should be like in Indian cinema: many guests, a lot of music and dancing. And, of course, very beautiful bridesmaid dresses. Earlier this month, one of the most lush and anticipated weddings of this winter took place: actress Priyanka Chopra married musician Nick Jonas. Want to see what dresses she has chosen for your wedding-related celebrations?
It’s probably worth starting to talk about dresses not from the wedding, but from the engagement that preceded it. Of course, Priyanka can rightfully be called an icon of European style, but the actress also retained her love for Indian traditions. For the engagement, she chose a yellow saree with delicate embroidery. An engagement ring with a large yellow diamond went very well with it.

Immediately after the actress shared pictures from this ceremony on her Instagram, it became clear that wedding dresses would also be kept in the spirit of national traditions.
Every Indian wedding begins with a mehendi ritual: friends paint the bride's hands and feet with henna, and older relatives give parting words about the upcoming family life. On this day, Priyanka looked very bright in a yellow dress with colored stripes and patterns from Indian designer Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

For the party on the eve of the wedding, the actress chose a saree entirely hand-embroidered in gold and silver by the same designer.

At first, the couple held a European-style ceremony. Priyanka wore a custom-made Ralph Lauren dress. The bride's look was complemented by JIMMY CHOO shoes and Chopard jewelry.

On the second day of the wedding, the newly minted Mrs. Jonas appeared before the guests in a traditional Indian wedding dress. The fact is that white is considered the color of mourning in India, so brides wear bright red sarees embroidered with gold and silver threads. And, of course, Priyanka was wearing the main wedding jewelry - a large chain that connects the earring located on the nose with the earring in the earlobe.

For the ceremony according to Indian tradition, all guests and relatives of the couple, regardless of origin, also chose traditional Indian outfits.

But the wedding celebrations did not end there either: the newlyweds held another reception in New Delhi dedicated to their marriage. For the evening, which was attended by close friends as well as members of the Indian government, Priyanka donned a lehenga from Falguni Shane Peacock. This is also a traditional outfit - a long full skirt and a short top with long sleeves, lavishly decorated with beads, crystals and gold threads, a thin transparent cape is thrown on top.

We can only envy the bride, who managed to change so many incredible dresses in one wedding. After all, most of us, in order to show off in another wedding dress, have to get divorced and look for a new groom.
