The St. Petersburg formation Roots United, which is responsible for the Present Perfect festival, is preparing a new project of special importance - a large-scale daytime music event DAY OFF, created in collaboration with a key international festival brand specializing in daytime events - Dekmantel.
The unification of projects dictates the format of the new event: a combination of music and daytime leisure in the most picturesque location of the city, Port "Sevkabel" on the embankment of the Gulf of Finland.
Dekmantel is an Amsterdam record label, the best European festival (according to Resident Advisor) and an event company of the same name, which is a benchmark in organizing daytime events for tens of thousands of people around the world. The DAY OFF event will be attended by the management team of the community and the four main residents of Dekmantel from Holland and the UK, as well as artists from Roots United. The main musical forces will be located on two stages, one of which will be located directly on the shores of the Gulf of Finland.
Declaring the daytime format, DAY OFF starts in the bright rays of the sun and ends the main program at exactly midnight, and its musical part will be just one of the components of the event. In addition to two stages, the event will feature a variety of leisure locations: food courts, sports spots and recreation areas.
The OFF by Roots United series has already established itself as a vibrant urban phenomenon, a new daytime format of the event, inspired by the picturesque landscape of Port Sevcable, is intended to initiate a new tradition of annual large daytime DAY OFF parties.
As part of a joint project of the Roots United formation and the global music platform Ballantine's True Music, a special pop-up recording studio True Music Jam will be created at DAY OFF, equipped with everything necessary for creative improvisation.
