Icons is a large-scale project that annually acquaints readers with significant symbols of different countries and peoples.
Icons of Russia is a book about Russia that not only reveals the uniqueness and versatility of our country, but also destroys well-known stereotypes. The new edition is both an art album and an encyclopedia, which contains everything that is important to know about the historical heritage, cultural traditions and modern realities of Russia. Significant events and important achievements involve the reader in the historical process, while little-known facts help to look at the country in a completely new way. On the pages of the book, everyone can find something interesting for themselves and learn about what influenced the Russian people and the modern international community as a whole: politics and major social changes, the economy and its records, advanced technologies, scientific discoveries, trends in art, high fashion and style icons, sports, literature and much more. Authors and designers working on books avoid difficult-to-read text, therefore, the pages of the publication contain only the most interesting facts, rare photographs and unique illustrative material.
Today, the Icons project has about a dozen books: about Moscow, France, Austria, China, Japan, Armenia, Azerbaijan. In Russia, the Icons project is supported by Cosmopolitan magazine. At the moment, work is underway on books about the UK, Dubai and Switzerland, as well as a reprint of the volume on France is being prepared. On August 1, 2018, the presentation of the promotional version of the book took place at the Swiss Embassy in Moscow.
In the near future, it is planned to reissue the flagship book about Russia and prepare special editions of the publication dedicated to specific topics: art, military, astronautics, etc. It is planned that the book releases will be timed to coincide with significant dates: the Day of the Navy, the Day of Cosmonautics, the Day of Cultural Heritage, etc. The creators of the project add “new icons” to the new editions - symbols and legendary images of the country.
Icons of Russia is a book that will be an ideal gift for partners, clients and colleagues. The editions, presented in large and small formats, have been translated into five foreign languages: Russian, English, Chinese, German, French.
